Changes are coming.
After 15 years freelancing in graphic design, it’s time to up the ante.
kazchilds.com as you know it, will officially close its doors on New Year’s Eve, 2025.
In its place, will be my new studio, Rattle and Hub™ - officially opening 1 January, 2026.

Why change the business structure?
With huge improvements in admin systems underway here currently, and a want to add another seat or two in the studio, switching from freelance to Company just makes sense.

What’s Rattle and Hub going to be doing?
I’ve worked alongside marketeers in the Australian ‘mallscape’ since the early nineties, and that’s where I do my best work. That little thrill I get, seeing a client’s activation go live – seeing it actually happen – is awesome. The satisfaction of solving a naked hoarding issue after a retailer does an overnight runner? I love it. Even weird requests such as “can you make these kids’ drawings into monster standees?” get me all fired up. Shopping centres are where my career started, and they’ve been the best part of it – so that’s what Rattle and Hub will focus on.

Some of the upcoming improvements are:
Automated workflow systems – not ‘funnels’ – custom-built software to make project management simpler for the humans we collaborate with.
An ‘open studio’ atmosphere – where our studio, our clients and their contacts can access what they need for and from each job.
All-inclusive pricing and real-time budget tracking. Yes, you read that right!
Loads more features, which will be revealed in due course.

Will this affect our pricing?

Yes, our rate will increase a little. However, this will now include all design work as well as licensed stock files and packaged working files; which were previously charged as add-ons.
We’ve been very careful not to mess up your bottom line, whilst making adjustments to ours.

Some things won’t be changing:
No contracts
No retainers
No bullshit 😉

COMING WITH ME?
Communications from kazchilds.com will also cease at the end of the year.
To stay in touch, please shoot over an email to kaz@kazchilds.com and we’ll set you up in the new system for when it’s ready to go live. If you’ve already told us that you're coming along for this crazy ride, you don’t need to do it again - we've got you! Thank you.

More updates to come!
